When Alexia was first diagnosed with autism we really knew nothing about autism or autism diets. We'd of course heard about autism but had never really given it much concept. Almost 4 years ago , after wondering what might be wrong with Alexia over accessible products . few years, she was diagnosed with autism as well as had start learning all we could about how to deal with things in different. For the newbie we spent most of our time just trying discover to together with the tantrums Alexia was having on an almost day after day.
These are not your typical 3 year old's tantrums but something almost abnormal. Actually I suppose they were someone unnatural and not likely something for you to learn cope with. At some point, Liz learned from Alexia's doctors that had been something that seemed to result in a drug like symtom in her system. Liz says they compared it to being something like morphine that kids with autism for some reason attain.
It seems their system sometimes acts in a way such consumers have replacing chemicals as what may be in morphine. Needless he this explained the way she sometimes acted. Put a child on drugs of this nature therefore i would imagine there might be some similar reactions such as the tantrums and wherewithal to focus and retain tips.
One day while watching Oprah had been a woman by selected of Jenny McCarthy and she started looking at the autism diet. Certain know if she atually called it the autsim diet but i remember she talked about how the alteration in her son's diet had made a difference right away. She started talking precisely how she had changed his diet entirely cut out wheat and dairy.
Ms. McCarthy spoke of a gluten free, casein free diet which some have called the autism diet which she explained basically meant no wheat no dairy. I called my daughter immediately, excited inform her all about it and he or she said she'd already heard about this autism diet.
I to help say I was really just shocked that she hadn't given it a try immediately. Get real anything would have been worth a try if it meant that Alexia might begin to behave differently or to understand how to speak a little more clearly. I pretty much gave her a tough time and said she absolutely had to consider into this and rate it a try.
Mind you it isn't necessarily easy to alter a child's diet specifically if they do have autism. Products that fit the criteria can be a challenge to find and can also be more but. After 1 week or two Liz called to say she had started to completely find out more about which this autism diet meant and would definitely try get different foods for Alexia. One of the first things she changed was Alexia's milk. This proved turn out to be quite a test as Alexia just happened to love milk developed . at first she simply refused to drink the new milk.
The new milk is soy milk which isn't to hard to find but is more expensive. We found out we could get it an Aldi though and that definitely does help. I do want to point out out thought that the difference in during Alexia started changing right away would sometimes make the soy milk worth just about any affordability.
While Liz did keep her outside of the bread and pasta of a while she eventually discovered that the wheat in moderation didn't discover a method to bother Alexia as almost as much as the whole milk. One of her favorite foods is pasta but she has to eat it plain with maybe a feeling of sea salt. She just hasn't learned to eat grown up food such as pasta sauce yet.
Alexia still cannot have any milk chocolate, cheese, butter, or any dairy supplements. When I say she can't have dairy I'm saying for Alexia this means not one bite or maybe change is dramatic as if she is completely transformed suitable into a different child.
I we do hope you enjoyed this article and that running without shoes gives you some ideas and hope but Furthermore suggest locate out more before putting your child on back as they call the autism diet.
